so... i had an amazing weekend.

.thursday.
::i drove to steaver's house and met up with her and jenna (who flew in from NH super early that morning)
::steph's huge family is simply amazing. they made me laugh a lot.
::we did some shopping in lancaster, baked some cookies, made random phone calls to our EU friends. and did some catching up.

.friday.
::woke up, went for a free breakfast and steph's parent's store. raided the free grocery section.
::we eventually headed on our little road trip to ocean city, new jersey. only 1 hour behind schedule...
::and we had a good trip. made it down in good time. didn't get lost. which is amazing cuz i was navigating...
::walt eventually made it too. we made him this amazing sign that we taped on the van and we kept it there the whole time so we got many strange looks... he was the only boy that came 'cuz all the other backed out on us a few days before. laaaame.
::we were going to go camping somewhere but changed our minds... we decided to just pitch a tent in atira's backyard and sleep there instead. we saved ourselves some money that way.
::atira's godsister followed us around allll day. jenna was super annoyed. i thought she was cute for the most part.
::we did some grocery shopping. and that was experience. you know how jersey drivers are bad... you should try being in a mad crowded grocery store with a bunch of jersey women who have shopping carts...
::we also went to acme where we made the cart boy feel really special.
::later that night we hit the boardwalk with atira's super hilarious sister and her friend. it was a reallly good time.
::so throughout that one day, i got hit on by 6 people... an old man at breakfast, the guy at shop rite, jonathan (the acme cart boy), jenna, dave (a kid atira graduated with) and his friend desmin. the last two were by far the funniest. dave was laying it on really thick. we all got a good laugh out of those 2.
::and then we ended the night perfectly... a mob of kids were running frantically down the road so atira yelled something funny at them and then they came to the van when we were at a stop sign and were all panicing about how they needed help cuz their friend went into diabetic shock. so we squeezed two of them in. and they were very drunk and suspicious in the way that they made us drop them off a block away from where they needed to go. who knows. it was an experience.

.saturday.
::woke up around 8.30. ate breakfast. then we all went back to sleep until like 11.
::renee joined us sometime after 12.30. then we all headed to the beach. we were there until 5ish and it was a fun time.
::we hit the boardwalk at night again and it was some more fun times.
::went back to atira's house and hung out for a bit. her family is extremely hilarious. i loved it.
::jenna and renee went to bed early so the remaining 3 of us went back to the boardwalk (atira lives super close)
::something crazy was going on with this huge group of guys and a bunch of security people. i wanna know what was going on.

.sunday.
::we went to church with atira. and let me tell you, i was super excited cuz i was never at a baptist church before. ant it was a good experience. we were pretty much the only 3 white kids there.
::steph and i headed back to lancaster at 2ish. had ourselves a good little trip. we had these two guys trying to get our numbers. the one was hanging out of the car signing us his number to get us to call him. and they pretty much stopped traffic on 76 to do so. they slowed down to like 45 so we would catch up to them and were waving everyone around them until we got there. then they drove beside us signing and yelling the numbers to us... it was interested. and we laughed a lot because we managed to picked up guys in a minivan... yeah, i guess we're that good. it's just a really good story to tell.
::i got home around 6. ate dinner with the 'rents. then went to post high. good times there.

so yeah. it was an interesting and funny weekend. it was definitely good to hang out with some of the EU crew again.

fear not... for i am alive and well. but it appears that xanga is dying a slow death. ah well. i suppose it happens...

so i've been on summer break for more than a month. haven't really done to much. i need to work more hours cuz i really need the money. but it looks like i have random fun stuff to do in the coming weeks. so far i've been doing a lot of reading. many classical literature too. talk about a fun time.

i turned 19 yesterday. dang i'm getting old. and i dont like it. i guess i'll get over it.

i got myself a brother last saturday. it was a good time.

i also got lost in philly last weekend. one of the funniest moments of my summer break thus far.

i got a present from ukraine this week. it's this super cool disc with all sorts of russian music plus random videos such as a walk to remember in russian. i'm way proud of it. wait till mepi hears about it... she'll be crazy jealous. haha.

so yeah. that's my quick random little update.

so this weekend was a crazy good one here at eastern...

.later.friday.
::went room shopping with rachel.
::went to the battle of the bands on campus. it was awkward. most of the people were sitting. but it was a little fun.

.saturday.
::finally got to do YACHT again. it's been like 3 weeks. it was a little disorganized ride wise, but somehow it all worked out.
::i met this man that's done everything: he was in jail for theft, addicted to cocaine... he was really interesting to talk to. i talked to him the whole time i was there. pretty cool stuff.
::i lost it when the man trying to say the korean nurse's name. it was hilarious. i could not stop laughing. and then mike adds to it by asking me "well, is it a boy or a girl?"
::i got to hold hands with peter and mike at the same time. haha. and peter tried to interlace fingers. that's serious. haha.
::the ride home was miserable. the girl was a typical jersey driver. and it was bad. she didn't know where she was going, so she decides to talk to her friend on her cell phone and not listen to me and kaitlin give directions out of the city. and her driving was terrible. i got really carsick. and it was just a bad experience...
::later, i went to panera with matt, jenna, and steph. it was amazing.
::there was this weird boy working that hit on all of us girls. we called him adam because he tried to give jenna an abundance of apples. yeah, we're clever.
::then we went to rita's. cuz we like to eat. and matt backed into a pole. but barely.
::and either adam slipped us something, or we had too much sugar cuz us 3 girls went insane. we prank called a whole bunch of people. including jenna's dad.
::keith justice!! he was the best. it was an 11 minute prank call.
::then we went linedancing on campus with rachel. and took pictures every 10 feet on the walk there. the dancing was kinda fun. i sucked and definitely whacked the chick next to me in the stomach...
::rachel and i left early. hung out with peter, mike and kaitlin in the seminar room. played hangman with mike. watched some strongbad. oh how i've missed him.
::then i stayed up till 2 talking to rachel about all sorts of stuff. it was good.

.sunday.
::slept in a little. then had a long devotion time since i skipped church.
::at lunch jenna and i made jon uncomfortable by just staring at him for 10 mintues straight.
::worked on my dumb education midterm essay. no fun.
::it was hans' (who lives downstairs) birthday. so us 3 girls would wish him a happy bday every time we saw him. so that night we snuck down to his room and sang to him. then ran upstairs and called him and sang again.
::then later we called chris and mike from downstairs and sang like 12 songs to them. our best was by far 'bye bye bye'.
::then we went and did and interpretive dance for them to josh groban's "you raise me up." they heard us coming and threw stuff at us. then all of the guys on their floor came out to see what the ruckus was. it was slightly embarrassing but oh so funny. now they think we're all crazy. oh well.
::and since we were all warmed up... steph and i went to worship. good times there.

so yeah. it was definitely a good, funny weekend.

oh and i changed my profile picture. nothing special. just me eating tomato pie.

::first day being able to breathe again. but i was a different kind of sick... not cool
::dave and i almost skipped new testament together. we flipped a coin and the coin told us to skip. but we went any way. never disobey the coin....
::ginger ale/sprite really does cure everything. who knew?
::yacht meetings are good times

.tuesday.
::rachel and i called a mandatory exclusive square meeting. then we forgot why. so we all just hung out. it was really fun.

.wednesday.
::i had anthro. and it was amazing. me, kate and rebecca stayed after to talk to dr. hummer. he hugged me! haha. cuz he was making fun of me a lot. and i invited myself over to a party at his house. i'm really excited. i'm by far one of his favorite students. 

.thursday.
::i definitely somehow slept through my 10:00 class. yeah. not good. but it was just poetry so i didn't miss much.
::was suppose to meet with my advisor. but the meeting before me took too long and i didn't have time to wait around. and the prof. that i skipped class on definitely saw me...
::me, kaitlin and allison went to do our last observations. couldn't find our van. so the really cool campus security guy drove us all over the place and helped us find it. he was funny.
::the last observation was a little sad. i'm gonna miss those kids. and the one is definitely going to miss me. haha. he told kaitlin that he thought i was hot and that he has a crush on me. it was really cute. and he was trying to hold my hand and stuff. he was always my favorite kid... haha.
::on the way home allison picked up some firemen. awkward things happen at red lights...
::there were breadsticks at dinner. need i say more? and rachel almost made a boy fall over....
::last night jenna and i had severe cases of ADD. and i started a good rumor about her. haha. it was hilarious. but shouldn't be repeated out of our hall.
::jenna ran into the wall screaming last night. funniest thing all day.

.today.
::waffle friday!!
::lunch was funny. josh and bryan had a fake fight of some sort outside, in front of the widows for everyone to see. and then they kinda got in trouble because the dining commons manager guy thought they were sneaking in with out using their cards.
::butt grabbing is definitely catching on around here...
::so i was listening to some hardcore music today. and i miss it. my roommate doesn't let me play my "death and killing" music 'cuz she doesn't like it. so today i just had to bust it out while she was in class. and let me tell you, it was glorious!

i'm sick. and i hate it. my nose hurts. i'm tired of coughing. i wanna go to philly tonight with the girls, but i feel like crap so i'm not going. i'm bored out of my mind. so bored that i'm about to start on next week's homework. i wanna listen to some good hardcore music, but i can't. cuz jenna's in the room and she doesn't like my 'death and killing' music. and it's cold outside. and i just ate my last peach ring. and i'm almost out of cheezits.
